On October 23-25, in the national finals of the 7th "DatangCup" national mobile communication 5g technology competition, one student team of the school of information of our University won the first prize and three student teams won the third prize.
The 7th "DatangCup" is sponsored by the talent exchange center of the Ministry of industry and information technology and the China Association of communication enterprises. It is hosted byDatangMobile Company and Beijing University of education. It is co sponsored by Beijing University of Posts and telecommunications and North University of technology. Under the guidance of China's 5g new infrastructure, as the only national competition in the field of communication in China, the event has attracted more than 9000 students from more than 300 universities in China. The competition is divided into four parts: 5g theory competition, 5g principle simulation, 5g system operation and maintenance, and 5g equipment commissioning. Each part accounts for 25% of the total score. This competition will guide the real 5g equipment into the competition for the first time.
Our school participated in the "DatangCup" competition for the first time last year and won one first prize in the national finals. This year, the college played the role of coaching team in software and hardware discipline competitions, actively organized and guided more than 90 students of 2017 and 2018 in telecommunications and computer science to participate in the competition, so that more students could get the opportunity of 5g learning and practice, and initially achieved the goal of "promoting learning and training through competition".
